Like sands through the hour glass, (or litter granules through the pooper scooper) these are the Days of Our Nine Lives…..

Harley here, the original Harley, the only remaining resident from when Kitten Rescue purchased Casitas Hotel for Cats so long ago (I’ll be 17 in May)…. I have seen so much change and “The Meow-Meow Tattler” is reporting that once again we will be expanding in 2018. A new Adoption Center Area and a new FeLV area for those very much deserving kids that tolerate Bitey-Face. Actually, since we had a “cold” spell for a couple of days, they have all been cuddling over there, it’s like a regular lovefest happening. So what a year, so much has happened, I said, “see ya later” to quite a few pals like Samantha, Dot, Zach, Black Beauty, Dandy, Mama, JP, Saphire, Augustus, the other Harley and Gray Lady to just name a few. But many of my pals were adopted as well like Julius, Elektra, Buckaroo, Amigo, Crybaby, Cheese, Butters, Louie, Esme, Rudy, Tomas, Dolce, Anibus, etc. And lots of new arrivals like Sally, Jessica, Oliver, Oscar, Bewley, Darby, Bob, Meridian, Magic, Lacy, Tango, Jitterbug, Libby, Honeybee, Henri, Batman, etc., while that’s not always good news, we, at KR welcome them with open arms, that’s how we roll! Nina and Ross had to leave us, but they visit and we know they still love us. Princess Leia needs an attitude adjustment, she has taking to swiping at people when they walk through the front doors, someone needs to demand that location back and quickly. Nelli walked by carrying a bowl of water for the catio lounges the other day and dared her, Nelli won, she made the pass and Princess Leia stayed dry. George and Morris have become buddies. Someone used the radio as a litterbox so we are having to listen to a lot of caretakers talk to themselves now. (They might be talking to us, but you know we are usually very busy doing cat things.) Now where was I, I was supposed to be recalling the year. Met some out of towners during Fur Ball time, always fun to have new visitors. Lots of new Kurandas bed purchased for us by some very generous folks especially that couple in Michigan. Lots of love and gratitude to all who have sent things to the sanctuary residents at Kitten Rescue this year.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaawn, I’m sorry it’s nap time, so the year in review is going to have to be to continued, but before I go, I wanted to say thank you to someone down under, she sponsored me. I have never had a sponsor before. Maybe I never needed one before, but regardless, it’s nice to be known and sponsored and loved. To all the wonderful people who sponsor my friends in the sanctuary both past and present, thank you for not forgetting about us. Have a safe & Happy New Year and I hope to see you in 2018! - Harley
